 Burundi: PARCEM demande au Gouvernement la révision budgétaire. 

Dans une conférence de presse animée par Ndikumana Faustin sur l'analyse de la bonne gouvernance budgétaire , l'ONG locale PARCEM , une organisation de droit Burundais œuvrant dans des domaines pluridisciplinaires particulièrement dans la promotion de la bonne gouvernance demande au Gouvernement du Burundi la révision budgétaire qui doit se faire après une vive discussion. Il se demande à quoi sert la dette de 6000 milliards avec une situation économique deplorable que vit le pays.

• Justifiant cette demande, Ndikumana évoque une légion de raisons : Une dette externe qui plafonne autour de 6 000 milliards et 700 interne et dont le remboursement se fera avec intérêts dépassant 1000 milliards de Fbu , les taxes qui se sont multipliés par trois en l'espace de 10 seulement allant de 500 à 1700 milliards de Fbu , des projets mis en place sans planification notamment le projet charroi zéro et la plantation des avocatiers, , des exonerations qui dépassent 100 milliards , le départ des médecins vers l'etranger, l'etat dérisoire des équipements dans les établissements scolaires , le financement des cooperatives qui a coûté 90 milliards alors que le ministère de souveraineté ne dépasse pas 51 milliards comme budget annuel.

, le Projet programme dit mis en place par le Gouvernement du Burundi techniquement n'est pas encore possible . Il reste un souhait car ses conditions sin qua non ne sont pas encore réunies

L'expert en économie regrette les #projets entrepris sans planification mais qui sont plus coûteux et se demande où le Burundi met réellement ses #priorités . C'est notamment le projet charroi zero et la plantation des avocatiers.

Avec 90,15 %  à l'Exetat, Népo crie au secours. 

Bujumbura, le 12 Novembre 2023,Gako News (Gako News)Ayant réussi  l'Exetat édition 2018 avec plus grand fruit, il a raté trois occasions de bourse d'étude dans des conditions qu'il ignore .Originaire de la commune Busoni de la province Kirundo,  Nsengiyumva Népo a fait ses études secondaires à l'Institut Technique Agricole du Burundi (ITAB) Kigozi, section Vétérnaire  dans la DCE et DPE Kirundo.

Selon Nsengiyumva Népo, le Bureau des Bourses d'Etudes et de Stages garde ses trois dossiers : Pour la première fois, il avait postulé en 2019 pour  la Roumanie . Pour le deuxième fois, le Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la recherche scientifique l' a interpellé pour déposer un nouveau dossier pour la Roumanie mais parce qu'il était à  Busoni sur la colline Kabanga, sa colline natale, il a délégué une autre personne pour s'enquérir des documents exigés . Népo a déposé son dossier en bonne et due forme mais il n'a pas eu de suite. 

Une autre occasion s'est présentée, il s'agissait de la bourse d'étude au Maroc, Népo a déposé de nouveau son dossier . Il n'a pas été sélectionné en dépit de sa bonne note .''Après cette deuxieme, le Directeur Sumukiza Alexandre si j'ai bonne mémoire m'avait fait une promesse arguant que même si l'occasion du Maroc n'allait pas passer, le Ministere pouvait s'arranger lors des bourses d'études de la Russie qui étaient déjà prévues. En 2022, je l'ai contacté par téléphone et il m'a signifié que c'était impossible car je ne faisais pas partie des lauréats de l'année scolaire 2021 et j'ai décidé d'abandonner cette affaire de bourses d'études. Mais l'année passee 2022. j'ai constaté une autre occasion de bourse d'études du Maroc et j'ai postulé et contacte le Directeur du BBES mais l'affaire a accouché d'une souris'', a confié Nsengiyumva Népo  à Gako News via un appel téléphonique depuis le chef de la province Makamba actuel Burunga.

''Avec toutes ses courses, j'ai déprimé et je me suis dit il faut abandonner le cursus académique mais je viens de revoir ma décision. Je viens de réintégrer l'Université du Burundi'', a ajouté ce jeune intelligent de 27 ans.  

Nsengiyumva Népo demande au Ministère de l'éducation et de la recherche scientifique de lui régulariser comme c'est le cas pour les autres qui ont connu des pareilles  situations. 

Un clair-obscur plane sur l'octroi des bourses d'études et des stages actuellement, regrette un veterant du système éducatif Burundi sous couvert d'anonymat .

Bujumbura,Novembre 11, Gako News (Blog) Les proches de la famille de l'enseignant Nyabenda Pierre dénoncent la détention du leur qu'ils disent emprisonné pour avoir ''transféré un message sur les reseaux sociaux''.

L'enseignant Nyabenda Pierre de l'Ecole Fondamentale Nyanza-Lac VI en commune Nyanza-Lc de la province Makamba a été arrêté mercredi après midi alors qu'il se breuvait dans un caberet et emprisonné. Les proches de sa famille parle d'une seule accusation: '' Avoir transféré un message sur les reseaux sociaux''.

Contactés par téléphone le matin de ce samedi 11 novembre alors que le nouveau Gouverneur est attendu dans cette commune la plus peuplée et enviée de la province Makamba, certains habitants de la commune Nyanza-Lac parlent d'une détension arbitraire ,d'autres demandent le concour des autorités communales pour la libération inconditionnelle de cet Enseignant combien utile à son établissement scolaire pour l'avancement des cours. D'autres encore pensent qu'il y auraient d'autres light motifs qui justifient sa détention et d'autres vont jusqu'à dire ''ntunkwegere''.

 ISEC trained more than 100 pupils on English pronunciation

Bujumbura, November11st, Gako News (Blog) ISEC trained more than 100 pupils on English pronunciation at Cibitoke II Fundamental School.

On Friday , November 10th, more than 100 pupils have been trained on English pronunciation challenges at Cibitoke II Fundamental School by the International Solidarity English Club, ISEC.

The ISEC chairperson, Ferdinand Nitunga said his organization aimed at empowering Burundian people especially youth on English pronunciation. ISEC program for learns emphasizes on the pronunciation because most nonnative speakers have a noticeable accent with or without instruction since some English teachers in secondary schools face also some challenges, he explained this Saturday.

The lesson targeted to sound like native speakers in international communication .After the technics, learners felt comfortable to utter easily this sentence for example : I am an African from Burundi.

The two-year-old project showed already positive results. High school students recognized the importance of our teaching and wish the program reached other educational establishments in the country. There is clear difference in terms of English pronunciation between a student who has followed our instruction and one who hasn't benefited from it as far I pleaged to keep transforming my community after my professional training for Trainers of Trainers in Kenya, said Ferdinand Nitunga. 

Cibitoke II Fundamental School taken as pilot for this teaching is located in Cibitoke Zone, Ntahangwa Commune in Bujumbura capital the city with more than 2. 000 learners and 45 teachers . Among them 425 pupils in classes of 7th, 8th and 9th form. The school has only one teacher who graduated from University in English Department.

  Nairobi :YALI  almuni training.

Bujumbura, 2nd November,2023 Gako news 9 ( Blog) The Young African Leadership  Initiative  ( YALI) in Kenya -Nairobi : More than 30  YALI  Alumni  were trained in professional development.

The YALI staff Kenyatta University Chandaria Business Incubation under the USAID financial support  organized a week training of profesional  trainers of trainers accross EAC. The traing took place at the  Jomo Kenyatta University from October 25th to October28th.

In order to equip YALI Alumni then master skills to keep progressing or growing as well a they were former participants of the center from the different tracks like  civic leadership, civic management.

I have the chance to take part in YALI trainers of trainers  program at YALI regional leadership center East Africa alongside emerging leaders from East and central African nations, said  Ferdinand Nitunga, the International Solidarity English Club chairperson who alone attended that training.

According to him, that opportunity enabled him to establish variable connections, shared experience and create a strong network. Upon our return to our countries, we are dedicated  to applying the knowledge  and skills we've  gained in  innovative ways  to bring positive change  in our communities, added Ferdinand.

 Disability can turn into opportunity, said Hatungimana Dismas

Bujumbura, October 19,  2023, Gako News (Blog) On the 17 October, the International Solidarity English Club, ISEC's leaders met Mr Dismas Hatungimana,a blind young facilitator of computer science at Lycee Kanura located in Gihanga commune, Bubanza Province . Dismas ,40 years old is laureat of College of Education, Kayonza District in Rwanda.

Hatungimana Dismas is a native of Gihanga commune , Vyondo quarter nearest Gihanga Centre Jeune. He lost his mother at the age of 10 years old when he was studying in third form, primary school.

Dismas said he studied in Rwanda  from high school . He got  82 per cent  and  went to university where he studied in English Kiswahili Departement under  the US Embassy in Rwanda and Allow Children's support. This support allowed him to focus on computer sciences.After such a study he decided to come back to Burundi . Dismas is working as volonteer at Lycee Kanura located in Gihanga commune in Bubanza Province.

Dismas has warmed Burundian students who think that persons living with visual empowerment are unable to realize something important. He suggested that learners from Kanura High school can join others in American corner Kamenge to be more skilled in English. He promised to be their facilitator in terms of   braille writing assistant .

When Ferdinand Nitunga,  the chairperson of the International Solidarity English Club asked him about the Burundi blind students' challenges, Dismas replied that their challenges are so many, namely the lack of communication. He said blind students can not get information like others since braille writing is known by few persons. He noticed that the lack of knowledge in terms of language especially in English is another impairment  for their effective communication.  He also included the lack of equipment. 

Lycee Kanura has only 3 computers so I can teach braille writing, he said. He reminded people who live with any disability that the latter has become an opportunity and called upon them to network even though it is ''difficult''. If you have barriers, you can see someone who can remove these barriers, he added. Thus,  disability can turn into opportunity, said Hatungimana Dismas

Describing Lycee Kanura Hatngimana Dismas said the school has 108 learners  ( primary and secondary sections) with inclusive education supported by the Burundi Government. The same teachers are teaching '' normal and pupils living with visual impairment''. These teachers had been trained to lead such schools.

With ISC's leaders Dismas Hatungimana agreed to implement an English training at American Corner Kamenge and involve students with visual impairment 

Daniel NtIranyibagira , currently a teacher at Penn Blind School and the first blind student to attend  the university studies underlined to Iwacu Magazine the  lack of materials for studies and money for daily survival is among the many challenges he faced faced with during hais cademic curriculum .

La BRB a un nouveau Gouverneur

La BRB a un nouveau Gouverneur .

Bujumbura, le 8 octobre 2023, Gako News (Blog) C'est le dimanche 8 octobre 2023 que le Président Evariste Ndayishimiye vient de nommer par décret N0 100/203 Monsieur d'Eduard Normand Bigendako au poste de Gouverneur de Banque de la République du Burundi .

Monsieur d'Eduard Normand Bigendako remplace M. Dieudonné Murengerantwari, ancien Administrateur Directeur Général de la Banque Nationale pour le Développement Economique  (BNDE) et qui vient de passer seulement 14 mois jour pour jour (8/8/2022-8/10/2023).Il avait , en son tour, remplacé Jean Ciza qui a fait 2 mandats, soit 10 ans a ce poste.

Alors que Jean Ciza a commandé '' humblement '' la BRB du 9/8/ 2012 au 8/8/2022 soit 10 ans, 2 mandats, certains employés de cette boite parlent d'un Gouverneur le plus luxueux dont les membres de la famille font des navettes entre

mairie de Bujumbura et Dubaï qui vient de partir.

Pour rappel , la Banque de la République du Burundi vieille de 59 ans fait des extensions dans l'intérieur du pays et est en train de construire, au centre ville, un nouveau bureau de travail.
