Kitui, August20, 2026 Gako News Blog, Mugaruka challenged church leaders gathered in Kitui to prepare a well-rounded generation for responsible living and leadership through the Arise Africa Movement, stressing that Africans have lamented for far too long and that the time has come for the church to take action.

To prepare a well-rounded generation for life and leadership more than 50 international church leaders and responsibilities of international organizations gother in Kitui, Kenya at 162 km. They attend the Arise Africa Transformation Initiative Conference organized by the Arise Africa movement led by Bishop John Munyasyi Murenzi. Its outcomes are  spiritual revival, leadership empowerment, community building.

On the third day of the conference more than 50 delegates, church leaders, and speakers converging from 17 nations, including , Burundi, Tanzania, Belgium, Malawi,Rwanda, DRC, Congo Brazzaville, Zambia, Mozambique, Uganda, Kenya met at Bendito Gardens, Kaveta Roundabout, Kitui Town, Kenya to network in order to arise Africa  which had been mistreated for so long time as stated the host of the conference and  Arise Africa chairperson  Bishop John Munyasia.

Frustrated by the resounding failure of various local, regional, and international organisations that have tried, but failed, to bring peace to Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Burundi, Victor C. Mugaruka, Executive Director of the Great Lakes Peace Institute, used his brief presentation on the afternoon of Thursday, 20 August 2026, to ask the conference participants: Where is the Church. Mugaruka gave examples of local  and organisations and countries such  OAU , AU, SADC, UN, UNAMIR, MONUC,MONUSCO, USA that failed.

He particularly called on Church leaders to take immediate action to help restore Africa’s image and bring peace to the Great Lakes region. He specifically mentioned areas of the DRC, including Ituri, where, according to his remarks, Ebola is raging while the media provides little or no coverage of the situation.

That is why today ae arise a declaration :  Arise Africa Transformation Initiative alver the world, America, European union, Africa Union, SADC,Got has brought to us the authority and ze say yes and this declaration is in Kitui in Africa in Kenya , whatever they want bring from Geneva, from New York from Tokyo and bring to Kenya – Bishop Isaac Wayire.

In response to his appeal, some Church leaders knelt down in repentance, acknowledging that they had committed wrongs and asking God for forgiveness. Few minutes after the Mugaruka’s calling upon, under the leadership of  Bishop  decided to make Kitui declaration about Arise Africa movement which had been declared unstoppable by Pastor Gladys Cosmus during her presentation.
